On the dune strip 5 kilometres long, protected from all urbanisation by the Conservatoire du Littoral (responsible for conservation and management of France’s coasts), you will access one of the loveliest naturist beaches in Occitanie, straight from the Sérignan Plage Nature campsite. Given the designation Pavillon Bleu (for sustainable tourism development) in 2020, the naturist beach was rewarded for the campsite’s respecting the 56 environmental criteria…

An entire history

At the start of the 1970s, Etienne Amat the founder has a request from a number of forerunner campers, who are members of the Gymno Club Méditerranéen (a multi-sports complex). Always prepared to innovate, he decides to set aside a campsite area for practising healthy and family-orientated naturism.
After a few lively discussions, with the village priest and the local council, the latter gives “provisional” authorization for the practice of naturism during the 1972 season. This authorization has always been renewed since then, to the delight of enthusiasts of naturist holidays…

Alternatively, for sports enthusiasts “La Paillote” a little further along the coast from the “textile” beach, offers you a stand-up paddle boarding and Hawaiian dug-out canoe hire service. Obviously, you will need put a little something on, to go and do this!
